5. I worked for a major corporation which had an internal call center with hundreds of computers. I was shocked and amazed at the amount of computers monitors, fax machines and copiers that were left on all night. Yes many of the devices have a sleep mode but they are still drawing power all night long. All it would take is to ask each employee to unplug each device from the wall every night and watch the power consumption/energy bills go down. If it lowers the power bill by 10% -12% for a company that is spending $5000 a month that is a $6,000 – $7,000 a year savings.
